Shipping Terms
Shipping terms are standardized language used to clarify responsibilities and costs between sellers, buyers, and carriers during transportation. Key terms include FOB (Free On Board), meaning the seller handles costs until goods are loaded; CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight), where the seller covers costs plus insurance and freight to the destination; and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), meaning the seller takes responsibility for delivering the cargo all the way to the buyer’s location, including customs and duties. These terms help define who pays for shipping, who's responsible during transit, and when risk transfers from seller to buyer, ensuring clear expectations.
