Shiite jurisprudence
Shiite jurisprudence, or fiqh, is the legal framework guiding the religious practices and daily life of Shia Muslims. It is based on the Quran, the sayings of Prophet Muhammad, and the teachings of Imams recognized by Shia Islam. Shiite scholars interpret these sources to develop laws on worship, morality, and social matters. Unlike Sunni jurisprudence, Shiite law emphasizes the authority of Imams as spiritual guides. The goal is to align individual behavior with divine principles, ensuring community justice and spiritual purity. This jurisprudence adapts over time through scholarly consensus while maintaining core theological beliefs.
