Nestor Shchors was a Ukrainian military leader and Bolshevik revolutionary during the Russian Civil War (1917–1923). Born in 1888, he initially fought against the White Army to establish Soviet control in Ukraine. Known for his strategic skills and leadership, Shchors played a key role in consolidating Bolshevik power in the region. He is remembered as a national hero in Ukraine for his efforts during the tumultuous period of war and revolution. Shchors died in 1934, and his legacy is often associated with Ukrainian resistance and communist revolutionary history.
