Shashi Kapoor was a prominent Indian actor and film producer, known for his significant contributions to Indian cinema, especially during the 1960s and 1970s. Born on March 18, 1938, he was part of the renowned Kapoor family, which has deep ties to Bollywood. Shashi gained fame for his versatile roles in films like "Deewaar," "Kabhi Kabhie," and "Sharmaji Namkeen." He also worked in international cinema, appearing in productions such as "The Householder" and "Heat and Dust." In recognition of his work, he received several awards, including the Padma Bhushan, one of India's highest civilian honors, and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Filmfare. He passed away on December 4, 2017.
