Seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis

Seronegative Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a type of RA where blood tests do not show the typical antibodies associated with the disease, such as rheumatoid factor (RF) or anti-citrullinated protein antibody (ACPA). Despite this, individuals experience similar symptoms, such as joint pain, stiffness, and swelling. The term "seronegative" simply means that these specific markers are absent, but the inflammatory process and joint damage can still occur. This condition can sometimes make diagnosis challenging, but treatment options are available to help manage symptoms and maintain joint function.
