Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA)
The Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) was a British agency that operated from 2006 until 2013, focusing on tackling serious and organized crime. Its main responsibilities included combating drug trafficking, human trafficking, cybercrime, and organized criminal groups. SOCA worked in partnership with local police, government bodies, and international agencies to share intelligence and coordinate operations. In 2013, it was replaced by the National Crime Agency (NCA) to enhance its effectiveness in fighting complex and serious crime across the UK. SOCA was known for its intelligence-led approach to crime prevention and enforcement.
