Serious Organised Crime Agency

The Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) was a UK government organization responsible for tackling major criminal activities like drug trafficking, human trafficking, fraud, and arms smuggling. It coordinated efforts among various agencies to investigate, disrupt, and dismantle large-scale criminal networks. SOCA aimed to protect communities by targeting the people behind serious crimes, using intelligence gathering, surveillance, and law enforcement operations. In 2013, it was replaced by the National Crime Agency (NCA), which continues similar work with a broader focus on multiple forms of organized crime across the UK.
