Series

In mathematics, a series is the sum of the terms of a sequence. Imagine adding up a list of numbers, one after another; that total is a series. For example, the series 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 sums these numbers step by step. Some series stop after a certain point, while others, called infinite series, continue forever. Mathematicians study whether these sums approach a specific number (converge) or grow without bound (diverge). Series are fundamental for understanding many mathematical and real-world phenomena, such as signal processing, finance, and physics.
