Septum
In anatomy, a septum is a wall or partition that separates two spaces or cavities within the body. For example, the nasal septum divides the left and right nostrils, made of cartilage and bone, helping to support the nose and regulate airflow. Other examples include the heart's septum, which separates its chambers, and the cerebral septum, a thin membrane in the brain. Septa (plural) are important structural components that maintain organization and function of internal spaces, preventing mixing or interference between different areas.
