Sender Policy Framework

Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an email validation system that helps prevent spam and email fraud. It allows a domain owner to specify which mail servers are authorized to send emails on their behalf. When an email is received, the recipient’s mail server checks the DNS records of the sender’s domain to verify if the email was sent from an approved server. If it wasn't, the email can be marked as suspicious or blocked, reducing the chance of phishing and spoofing. Essentially, SPF helps ensure that emails claiming to come from a domain are genuinely sent by authorized sources.
