Section 337 Investigations

Section 337 investigations are legal processes conducted by the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) to resolve disputes related to unfair trade practices, particularly in cases of patent infringement or violations of intellectual property rights. If a company believes another is importing products that infringe on its patents or trade secrets, it can file a complaint under Section 337.
