Sea Mines (various types)
Sea mines are explosive devices placed underwater to damage or sink ships and submarines. They come in various types: contact mines trigger when touched by a vessel; influence mines detonate via proximity sensors responding to sound, magnetic fields, or pressure differences from passing ships; and remote mines are detonated manually by operators. Mines can be anchored to the seabed, float at certain depths, or drift with currents. They are used for defense, blockade, or area denial. Modern mines often incorporate sophisticated sensors for selective targeting and may be designed to minimize environmental impact or to be difficult to detect and neutralize.
