Scrivener's Textus Receptus

Scrivener's Textus Receptus is a carefully compiled version of the Greek New Testament, created by biblical scholar Frederick Henry Ambrose Scrivener in the late 19th century. It is based on a collection of early Greek manuscripts and was used as a key source for translating the New Testament into English, notably by the King James Version. Often called the "Received Text," it reflects the Greek texts that were popular during the Reformation era. While influential, modern scholarship recognizes differences between it and other Greek texts, leading to ongoing debates about biblical translation and textual accuracy.
