Scottish Screen

Scottish Screen was an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the film and television industry in Scotland. Established in the early 1990s, it aimed to foster local talent, enhance production capabilities, and encourage the development of Scottish storytelling in visual media. The organization provided funding, resources, and initiatives for filmmakers and helped attract international productions to Scotland. In 2007, Scottish Screen merged with the Scottish Arts Council to form Creative Scotland, which now oversees all aspects of arts and media in Scotland, continuing the mission to support and promote creative industries in the region.
