Scorpiones (order)
Scorpiones, commonly known as scorpions, are an order of arachnids characterized by their elongated bodies, segmented tails, and large pincers called pedipalps. They are predators, mainly feeding on insects and small arthropods, and use their venomous stinger at the tip of their tail to subdue prey or defend themselves. Scorpions are generally nocturnal, hiding during the day and hunting at night. They are found in diverse habitats worldwide, from deserts to forests. Despite their intimidating appearance, most scorpion species pose minimal threat to humans, although some have venom potent enough to cause serious pain or health issues.
