Science of Gestalt
The science of Gestalt explores how our minds organize visual information into coherent patterns and whole images, rather than just individual parts. It shows that we naturally perceive complete objects, figures, or shapes by using principles like proximity (things close together seem related), similarity (similar items are grouped), continuity (our eyes follow smooth lines), and closure (we fill in missing parts to complete a familiar shape). This understanding helps explain how we interpret complex scenes quickly, making sense of the visual world by grouping elements into meaningful units rather than seeing each detail in isolation.
