Schengen Area countries

The Schengen Area is a group of European countries that have agreed to allow free movement of people across their borders without passport checks. This means if you're in one Schengen country, you can travel to another without stopping at customs or immigration controls. The area enhances travel and trade, but countries still maintain their own border controls for security reasons. As of 2023, there are 26 countries in the Schengen Zone, primarily in Europe, which work together to simplify cross-border travel and promote cooperation on security and immigration policies.
