Scapula

The scapula, or shoulder blade, is a flat, triangular bone located on the back side of your shoulder. It connects your upper arm bone (humerus) to your collarbone (clavicle) and provides a stable base for shoulder movements. The scapula has various important parts, such as the spine, which can be felt as a ridge running across its back, and the glenoid cavity, a socket that holds the head of the humerus, allowing arm rotation and movement. It plays a crucial role in shoulder mobility and supports muscles that enable lifting, reaching, and other arm actions.
