Sarin

Sarin is a highly toxic nerve agent originally developed for chemical warfare. It disrupts the normal functioning of the nervous system by inhibiting an enzyme that breaks down neurotransmitters, leading to overstimulation of muscles and glands. Exposure can occur through inhalation, skin contact, or ingestion, causing severe symptoms like respiratory failure, convulsions, and potentially death within minutes. Due to its extreme toxicity and potential for mass harm, Sarin is classified as a weapon of mass destruction and is banned under international law. Its use has been associated with several tragic incidents, raising global security concerns.
