Santal social structure

The Santal social structure is organized around a kinship-based system, emphasizing family and clan ties. Society is divided into exogamous clans, meaning individuals must marry outside their clan. These clans form larger groups called **gotras** and are further organized under a hierarchical system that includes village elders, local leaders, and traditional priests.
