Santal language

Santal is an Austroasiatic language spoken primarily by the Santal people in India, Bangladesh, and Nepal. It has its own unique script, called the Santal script, but is often written using Latin or other regional scripts. The language features distinct phonetics, grammar, and vocabulary that set it apart from neighboring languages. Santal plays a vital cultural role, preserving traditions, oral histories, and identity. While many Santals are bilingual or multilingual, efforts are ongoing to promote and preserve their language amid modern influences.
