Sand Gazelle

The Sand Gazelle, also known as the Gazella leptoceros, is a species of gazelle found primarily in the deserts of North Africa and parts of the Arabian Peninsula. Adapted to arid environments, it has a light frame and long legs, allowing it to run swiftly across sandy terrain. This gazelle feeds on grasses and shrubs and is known for its ability to survive with limited water by obtaining moisture from its food. Sand Gazelles are social animals, often seen in small herds, and play a vital role in their ecosystem by helping to maintain the balance of desert vegetation.
