sample distribution
A sample distribution describes the way data points are spread out within a specific sample, representing a smaller group taken from a larger population. It shows how often different values occur in that sample. Understanding this helps us make inferences about the larger population’s characteristics, such as average or variation. For example, if we repeatedly take samples and observe the average heights, the distribution of those averages is called the sampling distribution. It provides insight into the reliability of our estimates and helps us assess the potential variability in our data collection.
