Sami culture
The Sami are an Indigenous people native to the Arctic region of Scandinavia and northern Russia. Their culture is deeply connected to the land, traditional reindeer herding, and outdoor survival skills. Sami languages, part of the Finno-Ugric family, preserve their unique identity. They have rich traditions in handicrafts (duodji), music (joik), and storytelling. Sami society is organized around community, respecting nature, and maintaining cultural heritage. Although modern influences have integrated into their lifestyle, Sami culture remains vital, embodying resilience and a strong connection to their ancestral lands.
