Salat al-Jumu'ah
Salat al-Jumu'ah is a special congregational prayer performed by Muslim men every Friday, replacing the Dhuhr prayer. It involves a khutbah (sermon) delivered by an Imam, followed by a two-unit prayer. The purpose is to gather the community for worship, reflection, and spiritual renewal, emphasizing the importance of unity, attentiveness, and religious knowledge. It is considered a significant weekly obligation, fostering social bonds and reminding Muslims of their faith and responsibilities. The timing begins just after noon, and attendance is highly encouraged for all eligible Muslims.
