Sakha Republic (Yakutia)

The Sakha Republic, also known as Yakutia, is a vast region in eastern Russia, covering about one-fifth of the country's land area. It's characterized by extreme cold, with long, harsh winters, and is rich in natural resources like diamonds, gold, and minerals. Despite its remote location and sparse population, Yakutia has its own government and cultural identity, primarily inhabited by the Yakut people, who speak their own language.
