SAE Level 5

SAE Level 5 refers to the highest level of vehicle automation as defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers. At this level, a fully autonomous vehicle can operate without any human intervention under all driving conditions, including city streets, highways, and adverse weather. The vehicle is equipped with advanced sensors and artificial intelligence that enable it to perceive its environment, make decisions, and navigate safely, much like a human driver. Passengers in a Level 5 vehicle can simply sit back and relax, as there is no need for active participation or oversight in driving.
