Sabrina's Law
Sabrina's Law is a legislation in Ontario, Canada, enacted to protect students with severe allergies, particularly those at risk of anaphylaxis. The law requires schools to create and follow plans to manage allergies, including ensuring the safe storage of allergy-related medications like epinephrine auto-injectors. It also mandates training for staff on recognizing and responding to allergic reactions. Named after Sabrina Shannon, a young girl who tragically died from an allergic reaction at school, the law aims to raise awareness, promote safety measures, and provide a supportive environment for students with food allergies.
