Sézary syndrome
Sézary syndrome is a rare and aggressive type of blood cancer, specifically a form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. It involves the abnormal growth of certain immune cells called T-cells, which circulate in the bloodstream and can cause widespread skin redness, itching, and peeling. Common signs include persistent skin redness, rashes, thickened skin, and enlarged lymph nodes. Because it affects the entire skin and blood, it requires specialized treatment. Early diagnosis and management are important, but it can be challenging to treat due to its aggressive nature.
