Süssreserve

Süssreserve is a method used in winemaking where a small amount of sweet grape juice, known as grape must, is added to a dry or less sweet wine after fermentation. This addition increases the wine’s sweetness and preserves some natural juices, giving the wine a richer, more balanced flavor. It allows winemakers to control the final sweetness level and enhance aroma and texture without overly fermenting the sugars into alcohol. Essentially, Süssreserve acts as a natural sweetener, enriching the wine’s complexity while maintaining quality and stability.
