Sámi people
The Sámi people are an Indigenous group native to the Arctic regions of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia's Kola Peninsula. They have a distinct culture, language, and traditions that center around reindeer herding, fishing, and Sami crafts. Traditionally semi-nomadic, the Sámi have a rich oral history and unique customs, such as their colorful clothing called gákti. They have historically faced challenges related to land rights and cultural preservation but continue to maintain their identity and advocate for their rights within Nordic societies.
