
Rudolf Hess
Rudolf Hess was a prominent Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler’s close associate, and Deputy Führer from 1933 to 1941. Born in 1894, he was involved in Nazi ideology and helped shape policies of Nazi Germany. During World War II, in 1941, he famously flew solo to Britain in an unauthorized attempt to negotiate peace, but was arrested and imprisoned. After the war, Hess was tried at Nuremberg, sentenced to life for crimes against peace, and served time until his death in 1987, which was officially ruled a suicide. His actions and legacy remain controversial and complex.
