RTM (Resin Transfer Molding)

Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) is a manufacturing process used to create composite materials, typically involving a blend of plastic and reinforcing fibers, like fiberglass or carbon fiber. In RTM, dry reinforcement materials are placed in a mold, and a liquid resin is injected under pressure to fill the mold and saturate the fibers. Once the resin cures, it hardens, forming a strong and lightweight part. RTM is valued for its ability to produce complex shapes, improve material properties, and offer a seamless surface finish, making it popular in industries like automotive, aerospace, and sporting goods.
