Rotational speed

Rotational speed refers to how many times an object spins around its central axis in a given amount of time, usually measured in revolutions per minute (RPM) or radians per second. It indicates how quickly something is rotating but doesn't directly tell you about the actual distance traveled on its surface. For example, a spinning wheel with a high rotational speed turns many times quickly, while a slower one turns fewer times in the same period. Understanding rotational speed helps in designing machinery, controlling engines, and analyzing motion in various mechanical systems.
