ROSAT

ROSAT (Roentgen Satellite) was a space telescope launched in 1990 to observe the universe in X-ray wavelengths. It helped astronomers study high-energy phenomena such as black holes, neutron stars, and supernova remnants. Operating until 1999, ROSAT provided detailed maps of cosmic X-ray sources, advancing our understanding of the energetic processes in the universe. Its observations complemented those in visible and radio light, offering a more complete picture of celestial objects and their behavior in the high-energy universe.
