Rock salt

Rock salt is the naturally occurring mineral form of sodium chloride, commonly known as table salt. Found in large, crystalline deposits underground or in salt lakes, it is mined and used primarily for de-icing roads, softening water, and in industrial processes. It appears as coarse, white crystals and dissolves easily in water. Unlike refined table salt, rock salt often contains impurities, giving it a rough texture.
