Robinson Projection
The Robinson Projection is a map design that aims to create a visually appealing representation of the Earth. It balances the distortion of size, shape, and distance, making countries and continents look more accurate compared to traditional maps. Unlike the Mercator projection, which stretches areas near the poles, the Robinson Projection reduces this distortion, preserving the overall appearance of the globe. However, it does not maintain precise proportions, which means that while it provides a good visual perspective, the areas might not be perfectly scaled. It’s often used in world maps to give a more realistic view of our planet.
