Riveting

Riveting is a process used to join two or more metal parts together using rivets—small, cylindrical fasteners with a head on one end. During riveting, the rivet is inserted through aligned holes in the materials. The tail end of the rivet is then deformed, usually by hammering or pressing, to create a second head, securing the parts firmly. This method provides a strong, permanent connection and is commonly used in construction, aviation, and shipbuilding. Riveting is valued for its durability, ability to join thick or thick and thin materials, and its effectiveness in high-stress applications.
