Risedronate

Risedronate is a medication used to strengthen bones and prevent or treat conditions like osteoporosis, which cause bones to become weak and more likely to break. It works by slowing down the activity of cells that break down bone, allowing the bones to maintain or increase their density. Typically taken as a once-weekly or monthly pill, it helps reduce the risk of fractures in weak bones. To maximize its effectiveness and minimize side effects, it’s usually recommended to take it with plenty of water, on an empty stomach, and to stay upright for at least 30 minutes afterward.
