Ringworm (Tinea Corporis)

Ringworm, or tinea corporis, is a common fungal infection that affects the skin. It typically appears as circular, red, scaly patches that may itch. Despite its name, it has nothing to do with worms; it’s caused by various types of fungi. Ringworm can spread through direct contact with an infected person or animal, as well as by touching contaminated surfaces. It can be treated effectively with antifungal creams or medications, but it's important to keep the affected area clean and dry to prevent further spread.
