RhD immunoglobulin

RhD immunoglobulin, also known as Rho(D) immune globulin, is a medication used to prevent Rh hemolytic disease in pregnant women. If an Rh-negative mother is carrying an Rh-positive baby, her immune system might attack the baby's red blood cells, leading to serious health issues. RhD immunoglobulin works by blocking the mother's immune response to Rh-positive blood cells, ensuring a safer pregnancy and delivery. It is typically given during pregnancy and after childbirth to protect future pregnancies. This treatment has significantly reduced complications related to Rh incompatibility.
