Retinoids
Retinoids are a group of compounds derived from vitamin A that are commonly used in skincare to improve skin texture, reduce signs of aging, and treat acne. They work by promoting cell turnover, which helps keep the skin fresh and clear, and stimulating collagen production, which can diminish wrinkles and fine lines. Retinoids can be found in prescription forms and over-the-counter products. While effective, they may cause skin irritation initially and increase sensitivity to sunlight, so it's important to use them as directed and apply sunscreen regularly.
