Renal Dysplasia

Renal dysplasia is a condition where the kidneys do not develop properly before birth. Instead of normal, healthy kidney tissue, the kidneys contain abnormal or immature tissue, which can impair their ability to filter waste from the blood effectively. This developmental issue can occur in one or both kidneys and may lead to reduced kidney function or failure over time. Sometimes, renal dysplasia is found incidentally, while other times it can cause symptoms like high blood pressure or urinary problems. The severity varies, and management depends on the extent of kidney involvement.
