Religious Worker Visa

A Religious Worker Visa (R-1) is a temporary visa for foreign individuals who are members of a religious denomination and want to work in the United States as ministers or in other religious roles. This visa allows them to engage in religious duties, such as teaching or conducting worship services, for a non-profit organization. Applicants must prove their religious affiliation and intent to work in a religious capacity, and the visa can be initially granted for up to 30 months, with an option to extend it for an additional 30 months.
