Relief printing

Relief printing is a technique where the raised surface of a printing plate or block carries the inked image or text. When pressed onto paper or material, the ink transfers from the raised areas, creating the printed image. This method includes processes like letterpress and woodcut printing, where the non-printing areas are recessed or carved away.
