Refractive Error
Refractive error is a common eye condition where the eye does not bend light properly, causing blurred vision. This happens when the shape of the eye prevents light from focusing directly on the retina, the light-sensitive layer at the back of the eye. There are different types, such as nearsightedness (difficulty seeing distant objects), farsightedness (difficulty seeing close objects), astigmatism (blurred vision due to uneven curvature of the cornea), and presbyopia (age-related difficulty focusing on close objects). These conditions can usually be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or surgery, allowing clear vision.
