Red Brigades
The Red Brigades were a far-left terrorist organization active in Italy mainly during the 1970s and 1980s. They aimed to overthrow the Italian government and establish a revolutionary state through violent attacks, kidnappings, and assassinations. Inspired by communist ideology, they targeted politicians, business leaders, and law enforcement to create chaos and promote their radical goals. Their actions contributed to Italy's period of political violence known as the "Years of Lead." The organization was eventually dismantled by Italian authorities, but their legacy remains a significant chapter in Italy’s modern history of political unrest.
