Red and Black Alliance

The Red–Black Alliance is a strategic partnership between the political parties of Sri Lanka’s major ethnic groups: the Sinhalese majority (represented by the Sarath Fonseka-led Red party) and the Tamil minority (represented by the Tamil National Alliance’s Black party). This alliance aims to promote national unity, peace, and reconciliation by bridging ethnic divides and fostering cooperation on issues affecting all Sri Lankans. It seeks to address long-standing ethnic conflicts and build a more inclusive, stable nation through collaborative political efforts.
