Rebecca Lee was an American physician and the first Asian American woman to receive a medical degree in the United States, graduating from the New York University School of Medicine in 1864. She faced significant racial and gender discrimination during her education and career. Despite these challenges, she became a trailblazer in medicine, advocating for women's rights and health care access.
