Raw Powerlifting
Raw powerlifting is a sport where athletes compete to lift the maximum weight in three distinct lifts: squat, bench press, and deadlift, using only their own strength and minimal supportive equipment such as knee sleeves or wrist wraps. Unlike equipped lifting, raw lifting focuses on pure strength without specialized gear that assists movement. The goal is to lift the heaviest possible weight in each category, demonstrating overall muscular strength. Competitors are judged on proper form and safety, with the cumulative total of the three lifts determining the winner. Raw powerlifting emphasizes raw physical ability and technique.
